Chardham mainly refers to the four holy Himalayan shrines – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. These places ooze serenity and enchanting beauty, providing a spiritual bliss. The four dhams are dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Goddess Ganga, Lord Shiva and Vishnu respectively. Once the devotees embark on a Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, they immerse into the aroma of the sanctified atmosphere and experience true inner peace.

 Travel Guide for Char Dham Yatra

1- To book and confirm your tour, we need 70% amount of the total tour cost in advance. Balance amount to be paid before 40 days of tour commencement date.

2- You can make payment by Cheqeue / NEFT / SWIFT (in case of payments from abroad).

3- We need list of all the passengers (Name, Age, Gender), along with valid scanned photo id (Passport / Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Adhar Card) of the tour leader. You will to fill a Tour Declaration form, and send it duely signed (We E-mail this form, once you have booked your tour).

4- If the destination of a particular day can’t be reached due to land slides, natural calamities, traffic jams, arrangements of night stay and meals to the nearest availability shall be made at extra cost. Tourists shall have to pay this amount in cash to the Hotel. Refunds of the original destination shall not be made.

5- If the vehicle is unable to move ahead due to any technical / mechanical fault, alternate arrangements (in vehicle/s available locally, even may ne Jeeps) will be made. Replacement of Vehicle will be made only at Delhi / Rishikesh / Haridwar as per itinerary.

6- If destination of a day can’t be reached due to any natural calamity, land slides, road blocks, traffic jams, tour will be proceeded for next destination, and refunds shall not made for the original destination.

7- If the total duration of tour is stretched for extra days (due to any natural calamity, land slides, road blocks, traffic jams), cost from the effective date for the accommodation, meals, and transport shall be charged extra, and tourists have to clear the payment before conclusion of the tour.

8- If the helicopter tour is cancelled due to any technical reason, government’s order, our responsibility is upto refund of the tour cost for unutilized travel sector only.

9- If helicopter flight is cancelled due to any reason, our responsibility shall be upto refund of helicopter ticket only.

Haridwar – Barkot 220 Km. – 7 hr
Barkot – Yamunotri 36 km drive, 7 km trek
Barkot – Uttarkashi 100 km. – 4 hr
Uttarkashi – Gangotri 100 km. – 3 hr
Uttarkashi – Guptkashi 230 km. – 9 hr
Guptkashi – Kedarnath 20 km. drive, 14 km. trek
Guptkashi – Badrinath 225 km. – 8 hr
Badrinath – Rudraprayag 160 km. – 6 hr
Rudraprayag – Rishikesh 254 km. – 8 hr
Rishikesh – Delhi 230 km. – 7 hr

Note:- Driving not permitted in hills from 8PM to 5AM.

Char Dham Route Map from Haridwar


1- Always keep your vehicle on left side of the Road.

2- Use Horn at curves on hills.

3- Never overtake the overtaking vehicle.

4- Use shoes instead of slippers while driving.

5- Never drive an overloaded vehicle.

6- Steering duty should not be more than Eight hours a day.

7- Use Dippers at night and appropriate signals on Road while Driving.

8- Check your Brakes and Hand Brakes before starting journey.

9- Check your speed while driving on hills.

10- Always give way to upcoming vehicle / vehicles.

11- Keep your valid vehicle’s documents with you to avoid inconvenience.

12- Check the Headlights, Break light and Parking lights of your vehicle.

13- Before journey, make sure that fuel tank of your vehicle is full, in case of land slides you might have to take alternate long routes.
14- Ensure to refuel, where ever easily you get chance, during season there might be long queues in Petrol Pumps at main stations.

15- Carry first aid box with you.

16- In case of traffic jam, park your vehicle at the end of the queue. If you initiate a parallel queue, the traffic from other side might force you to drive in reverse gear, till you reach again at end of the original queue. And you may find it very difficult to drive long in reverse gear on a hilly road.

17- Don’t compete with local vehicles / drivers. They know the terrain very well.

18- If you are using public vehicle, never hesitate to ensure that the Driver of the vehicle is following all rules properly.

19- Don’t Drive after drinking Liquor.
